a moment

This post makes it look like there is a lot of play and little work going on around here. A nap is sorely needed and I would take one if there were time.

We closed on the new house and have been working to clean and spruce up those little things that need done to a house of about 6 years old. It has been difficult to squeeze in some fun time so it still feels like a vacation for mom.

The movers brought our 6 months of storage yesterday and it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. Amazingly, we knew instantly that some things were missing...more soon on if it is ever to be recovered.

...so, a few quick photos of the fun part of the last two weeks: Bugg, finally home for the summer. She has already joined a tennis league and is hunting for a job. Keep your fingers crossed, she had an interview last evening and is pumped up about the opportunity.

FYS has been taking every opportunity to spend time with his Grandma. He has managed to play some tricks on her and we never know what is coming next.

Yes, even Hubs got into the pool to enjoy the waterfall.

AND we managed a trip to New Orleans last weekend. It was a lot of fun. The food was incredible and I can't wait to go back and take the kids.

These omelets were at the Camillia Grill and were too yummy for words. If you visit NOLA, definitely take the cable car out to Carrollton Ave, patiently wait in line, and brace yourself for the food experience.
